Ice Cold Fun

I just have to comment on this page. I usually only will use Bazzill cardstock. I love texture. But I didn't have any in the color I needed. I used plain boring cardstock... and got 3 pages of it out of my stash!!!

4

I had fun with this one!!! I am just loving my Maya Mists. So, I cut out some 4's on my Cricut. I put them on the page with removable adhesive. Then I sprayed the page with my silver mist. Then I placed the circle on the page and sprayed my brown mist... giving it the layers of color. I did a couple of strips of paper and some buttons. Then, I used the inks for the Cricut and had it draw the big J on the page!!! I little handwriting around the edge and we're good to go! Super fun and fast.

Right Now

Knowing I was going to a big crop make me want to capture something very current about my kids so I took a picture of each of them before I put my mass photo in.
It was really neat to write down lots of little things about what they were like this very day.
What a great scrapbook page to make for each of them.

T

So, I have to say something about this layout because I feel so proud of it. First, I used my Cricut in many ways. I used it to cut the scalloped circe. Then I used it to cut rain drops... I then adhered the drops with removable adhesive and sprayed my maya mist over them... then removed them. And 3rd, I used the Cricut to draw the T. My Sister in Law gave me inks that go with the Cricut for my birthday and it turns out that they are pretty fun to use! And the other reason that I am so excited for this layout is that I used a piece of blue foil that has been bouncing around in Cami's and then my scrapbooking supplies for about 10 years.
I love the way it came together!!!

Bumbo Chair

Okay, semi funny story. I was looking through the last issue of CK and I was noticing a lot of purple layouts.... and I'm sorry to be so blunt and honest, but I didn't really like them. I was telling all of my friends at a crop last night how much I didn't like purple. Then, I came across this layout that was stuck between some of my magazines and noticed the purple... that I used on a boys layout... and I actually love it! So, maybe I'm just a hypocrite!

(Oh, and by the way, the reason my baby boy has a purple bumbo is because I didn't want to buy one for him so I borrowed it from my sister in law who has a girl:)

This page is an example of my frustration with my scrapbooking styles and sizes. I chose to do 6x6 layouts for my kids albums.... for the most part that has worked out great for me. I love how simple they are and I love that it's super easy for my kids to look at their own albums. However, there are a lot of times when it is very difficult to fit more than one picture on a page. This particular page had a really awesome picture of my baby reaching for the carpet. I had to shrink it on my mom's ink jet printer and so my nice picture turned into something not so nice.... someday I'll have to find a balance between nice photography and fitting it on my scrapbook page!

Oh, and another side note... this background paper is the packaging from a package of letter stickers... look at me using packaging for my background paper!!!

I must admit that I use my Dymo label maker ALOT.

Big 1

My baby's 1st birthday:)

I have to talk a little bit about my scrapbooks and the sizes that I do.

For my kids, I do a 6x6. It's a challenge at times. Most of the time, I only have 1 picture that I want to put in there because I'm documenting a milestone. But on occasions like birthdays, sports or classes that they have taken where I have several pictures, it's been a bit of a challenge. I feel like I have to print the pictures really small and then I have to still crop them more than I want. I had to totally crop out the cake on his birthday pictures, which is the most fun part. I tell myself it's okay because I have digital copies of everything, but I'm not sure.

For things that are the three boys together or at least two of them, I have a 11x8.5 (it's landscape). This is my favorite album to do. I don't usually do a two page spread... just a single, and it's usually just a few pictures because it's something we've done just during the day or a comparison or a picture of the three of them together or maybe something fun about just two of them.

For anything that relates to the whole family I do a 12x12 two page spread. These are definitely fun and they usually have a ton of pictures.

Go to the labels and click on Anisa for my samples:)

Kinderbear

I helped Brenner make this for Kinderbear's journal at school. I thought it was so cute that I made a copy for the journal and kept the original for Brenner's scrapbook. He did the sticker title and the journalling on the right.
